“Holy Shit…”

Those are the words I spoke when I realized in less than 24 hours fans from every Epileptic Gaming and eSports related project had donated over $1,200.  Seriously guys… you won’t regret those donations.  In fact, let me get some quick things out of the way, and then I’ll update you on what this means for the first episode thanks to Phase 1.

I have something special planned for everyone who has donated, but for now, I just want to thank anyone who’s showed their support.  Whether it was $1 or $200, a post of support and encouragement on the forum, a text message, a phone call, whatever… it’s just awesome to know that EG and other projects have made that much of an impact on people.  It’s rather amazing and it fills me up with even more enthusiasm and motivation to get the ball rolling.  I will say the top donation amount (so far – sorry 2x!) was $200 – and that was made by several people.  However, every little bit counts and I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart.

Phase 1 is 100% complete & equipment is already in the process of being purchased.  I spoke to both NiceGuyEd and Force today and they almost pissed their pants when I told them what had happened virtually overnight.  Everyone is excited to hop on the airwaves and get the big ball rolling.

THE ONLY THING STOPPING US RIGHT NOW… is the fact that we have to wait for the gear to arrive!  And that’s a good problem to have.

As much as I would like to say, “Friday, January 23rd we’ll be doing a show for you…”, I think it’s a bit premature and I don’t want to disappoint anyone.  With that being said, I do feel comfortable saying, “On Friday, January 30th we’ll DEFINITELY be doing a show for you…”  This is all possible because there is an amazing community built around Epileptic Gaming and eSports who want to see good content delivered, and that’s exactly what is going to happen… and it’s pretty likely in about 2 weeks.

Now, like me, you’re probably wondering, “what’s next?”  Good thing I’ve been thinking about that for awhile now.  Phase 2a is going to consist of some “bonus equipment” that will compliment Phase 1, as well as, some gear to get video productions started.  That might mean a smaller light kit and a camera for shows and skits.  Additionally, it will make our operation completely mobile AND protect it.  Something I always aspired to do originally, but just never got it done.  While you may not see the benefit in that yet… maybe you will when I’m rolling it into QuakeCon!

• Additional Cables for Video Integration (~$150)
• Software Licensing (~$300)
• GOAL: $760 + (Light Kit/Camera #1)

Before I finish the total goal amount for Phase 2a, I want to do some additional research in what would be best to produce the most high-quality content.  I’ve split Phase 2 up into two parts because, well honestly, I didn’t expect to hit Phase 1 so quickly and I need to do some additional research!

This is really all an afterthought for me right now.  If donations continue to come in, we’ll be adding the “pieces” as it can happen.  But I’ve got tunnel vision right now… and that’s getting some good quality content on the air ASAP.  We gotta walk before we can full on run again.

You guys amaze me, and I can’t wait to give you guys something back!
