EG Revival: Your Donations Hard at Work
It’s an exciting day. Ok that’s a lie. The entire past week and a half have been exciting. But today is special because I have lots of updates to give… the real question is where to begin!
1. I mentioned in a previous post that part of the Phase2a inventory included some software called VidBlaster. EG’s very own Rance donated a copy to the cause, and then told me not to “let daddy down”. Whether he meant about doing the show or our sexual encounters in bed, I do not know. But big thanks to Rance for his donation.
2. PHASE 1 IS COMPLETE! We’re still waiting for the Rack Case to arrive but all other equipment has arrived – so technically the SHOW CAN GO ON. I promised you guys pictures when the equipment arrived so I’m here to deliver.
The first picture shows the arrival of the packages. The UPS guy painfully brought these 3 boxes to my doorstep… the heaviest one was 50 lbs. As I broke out my camera, James saw a good opportunity to be totally vain, and INSISTED that I take the picture of the boxes with him.
This next picture makes me giddy. I’ll admit, I spent the extra DOLLAR to get these particular windscreens… but I’m sure you’ll notice why. Those colors look familiar?
In a previous post (HERE), I told you about Blankz donating an Alesis 3630 Compressor as his donation. It’s one of the greatest tools any broadcaster can have at his disposal. Ironically enough, the compressor arrived with the other boxes today as well. Thanks again for your donation Blankz, soon it will be showering the internet with sexy compression love!
And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. What your donations look like in a tangible form. This is not only the complete inventory for Phase1, but it also dips into Phase2a with the Power Center . Unbox these, run some cables, and you’ve got a full fledged suite of awesomeness to broadcast with. The rack will eventually organize and “protect” the investment, but that won’t stop me from hooking this up and dropping some bombs on you!
Wait there is more. Did you know your donations went beyond just buying the equipment? The box that everything came in has been converted to djminiWHEAT’s house. I didn’t tell him to do it… after I unboxed everything, it was only about 90 seconds before he was inside the box. In the 2nd picture you can see that he’s a baller with his Apple Juice and Kirby DS.
3. Between donations, equipment, software, etc… the EG Community has contributed nearly $3,500. Phase 2a will be completed easily and I’ve already begun researching cameras for the cause. As always I’ll be keeping you updated with more information as purchases or potential purchases are made!
4. The first REVIVAL Episode of Epileptic Gaming will be airing on January 30th @ 7PM EST. It will feature djWHEAT, NiceGuyEd, and Force. More information on what exactly we’ll be discussing on the show will come next week. For those of you who can’t wait a week for some content… see #5.
5. Tomorrow night (Thursday @ 7PM EST) I’ll broadcast the pilot of a new show I’m doing for Jason Lake and ComplexityGaming.com called “LO3″ or “Live on Three”. It will finally help me separate my desire to talk about ProGaming on EG. Although it will likely happen, LO3 will be geared towards the “Hardcore eSports Community”.
6. Lost returns tonight… I’m fuckin’ stoked.
That’s about it for updates folks… Again, you blow me away. I seriously cannot wait until the first “WHAT’S UP BITCHES” – it’s at that moment that I’ll feel like I’m finally paying you back. This is just the first few steps of a great journey, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.

it s all nice and sweet. but to me it sucked in general that u just pissed off, smelling the money and not even bothering making a goodbye show. the one mail to ur fans doesnt really satisfy the loyal fans either. so when the obvious thing happened, and another esports league shut its doors u come back to us as ur life has been taken away from one day to another. i dont blame u for believing in something, what i do blame u for is pissing off from one day to another, leaving us behind with 2 wine drinking fags and other useless gaming related entertainment and now crawling back, expecting everyone to jump on board, and compensate corporate failure.. so how about u stop thanking everyone, and apologize for once to the community?

@kayamann: So ultimately you blame me for making a career decision that effected my future and my family/friend security? Don’t come around here telling me I screwed the community when I’ve been serving it long before you knew what GTFO meant.
To me it sucks in general that one person would generalize a single event without knowing the full details of what went down.
You can blame me for “pissing off” all you fucking want, but I never regret the decision I made to ensure there was food in my kids mouth and a roof over my families head.
And rightfully so, I don’t expect one fucking soul to jump on board… but I think it’s pretty evident just how strong and committed the community is. If you took the time to be a part of it and understand it, maybe you wouldn’t come in here and make a complete ass of yourself.

Kayamann, die in a fucking fire. You don’t know half of what a shoutcaster or broadcaster goes through. Especially dealing with community douchebags like you when most of the time shoutcasters don’t get paid at all. If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it.
I know for a fact marcus works harder than 95% of the shoutcasters out there to do this stuff and I give him major props for that. I stopped shoutcasting because of people like you and because I couldn’t handle the workload and not getting paid. Marcus has been doing it a lot longer than I did on top of the fact that he has a lot more responsibility with a family and he doesn’t ask for much.
So, in conclusion: stfu son.

@Tony: Assuming I can get the embeds to work, I’ll have it here… if for some reason I cannot either ComplexityGaming.com or ustream.tv/channel/djwheat will work. I’ll make sure to post a proper news item an hour or two before it begins.
@PB: Yes VOD+MP3 – Where will they live? Not sure yet but they will exist and be pretty accessible.

LO3 was great. I’ll second an mp3 request for LO3. Can take it to work then …
Has there been a postmortem of CGS?
I’d like to see a show on that.

I have an MP3, but I’ll have to find a place to host it so I can get the PodCast feed going.
It’s on my “List of shit to figure out” today!

Actually I said “make daddy proud”…
As you can see it’s not only other people that misquote and misrepresent what I say, it is EVERYONE.
Make daddy proud motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That carries a whole different meaning than ‘dont let daddy down’ that sounds way more negative. :)
